    When clean drinking water is stored in a pure copper bottle or pot for 6–8 hours (usually overnight), very tiny amounts of copper mix into the water. This is natural and safe in small quantities. Copper is known to kill harmful germs, and also supports some important body functions.

    But there’s a modern product called colloidal silver — silver mixed in water — sold online as a “miracle drink.” Here’s the truth:

    Taking silver water regularly can lead to argyria, a serious condition where your skin turns blue-grey permanently. It may also affect your kidneys and nerves.
